About ZoeBaraka

ZoeBaraka is a trained filmmaker, journalist, and ardent African storyteller. Her passion for storytelling was evident from her early education at St. John’s Preparatory School and Mfantsiman Girls Secondary School. She further developed her craft with a diploma in journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in Documentary Film Writing and Directing from the prestigious National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI). During her studies, she contributed to well-known Ghanaian TV series like Taxi Driver, Home Sweet Home, and Greetings from Abroad, as well as several award-winning documentaries in both Ghana and the United States.

In addition to her work in film and television, she earned a Master’s degree in International Business from St. Peter’s University, NJ, USA.

ZoeBaraka is also an established facilitator, moderator, and motivational speaker. She hosts the acclaimed weekly storytelling show, To My Younger Self, where guests share pivotal stories from their past that have shaped their present. As a co-author of the book Letters of Hope to My Younger Self, she continues to inspire others through the power of personal narratives. Her lifelong dream is to curate stories from all 54 African countries, reflecting her unwavering dedication to preserving and amplifying authentic African experiences.
